Soccer has gained in popularity in the US for over 20 plus years, but as the kids who once played in little leagues age and mature, their interest in the sport has faltered, thus it has not endured in a way that it has in othe areas of the world. Granted, little league games have become a cliche with “Soccer Moms” being the poster child of parents who network vicariously through their children’s sporting activities, but why doesn’t the interest in it continue after the children who played it become adults?
