How to get rid of annoying soccer mom?

My daughter just started soccer this year. They’ve only played 4 games. This one annoying mom is always in my face talking to me, she’s invited my daughter to her daughters party (they barely know each other) and it’s all because her daughter is heavy-set and very unpopular. I don’t blame the mom one bit for trying to get her daughter into a social circle, really I don’t. But the mom is nothing but a scam artist. I can tell by some of the things she’s already doing and saying. I don’t have a problem w/ the daughter, it’s the mom that I would rather not have anything to do with. How do I get thru the rest of the season, not to mention spring season, trying to dodge this woman. I really do not want anything to do with her and yet I don’t want her to start gossiping about us thereby alientating my daughter. She’s just the type to do that which is one of the reasons I want nothing to do with her.
